Once Upon an Apron:
A Thanksgiving Celebration of Gratitude & Tradition: November 16
Thanksgiving time brings to mind lots of memories and traditions about times of feasting with family and friends. You are invited to an afternoon of feasting, fun, and remembering with your Lourdes family and friends on Thursday, November 16 in the Father Kratz Parish Social Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We’ll provide hot turkey sandwiches. You are welcome to bring a side dish, a salad, a casserole or dessert that holds a special memory in your family.
To add another fun dimension to our day, think about bringing an apron – your own, a parents’, grandparent, friend, etc. and we will display them! (a picture is okay too.) Aprons tell stories and hold memories! Maybe it was your Dad, Grandpa, uncle or neighbor as the deer camp cook or the booyah maker or grill master; maybe it was your mother or grandmother pulling the turkey out of the oven or canning the season’s harvest. Maybe the apron was a humorous gift for the ‘chef’ of your family!
With gratitude, prayer, fun and food, we’ll share cherished memories and traditions. Door prizes will include a woman’s and man’s aprons. Please join us!!!
Please RSVP by November 13 to help us plan!!
